A New Home
I am taken from the silver table and placed back in her bag. I hear the zipper noise as darkness takes over everything around me. Then the noise of the motor gets louder and...off we go! I arrive at my new home only 20 minutes later. A bed is made and a toilet prepared. These are such strange things to me. I feel better after food is put down on the floor and I am able to drink clean water. The woman leaves and a man picks me up, puts me in a cloth and comforts me until my eyes close. I feel at peace. I am warm and safe, finally.
Finding my way
Well, I am finding my way in my new home. I am living in the bathroom, sleeping on his old shirt and trying to figure my way out in this strange place I am living.
Each morning and evening I get medicine in my ears and something is put all over my body. It must be to take care of the awful sores that are all over my back, legs and shaved tail. I love following him around the room and rubbing against his legs. I try to walk on the computer but I get brushed off and find comfort in sitting next to him or on his stomach. My road to recovery has begun and I am finally safe from the busy streets of Beijing!
